In collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore, Group Thrpy took the annual 3x3 tournament to new heights, exceeding the previous year's standards while echoing the brand's unwavering commitment to nurturing basketball growth across all age groups in NYC.
Group Thrpy transformed Sara D. Roosevelt Park in the Lower East Side into a vibrant basketball spectacle, enhancing the experience with understated and elegant branding.
Hosted by Aimé Leon Dore, a prominent clothing brand deeply rooted in Queens and dedicated to community involvement, this community-based basketball tournament was organized in partnership with New Balance. Notable programs such as Humble Development Training, Pro Hoop NYC, Exodus AA Program, and Ladies Who Hoop actively participated, along with community leaders and members from Henry St. Settlement and the Masaryk Community Gym afterschool program.
As a testament to community engagement, the tournament featured a special game between Henry St. and the Masaryk Gym afterschool program, aligning with the gym's mission. The winning team not only received a substantial cash prize but also contributed to the community, as the court and hoops were donated to the Henry St. Settlement.
Announced just a day prior, the event attracted fans of the brand, street basketball enthusiasts, and New Yorkers, treating them to a full courtside basketball tournament. With support from the community and NY Parks, the atmosphere was characterized by vibrant and festive energy. The crowd and onlookers experienced a minimalist and clear branding approach, embodying the unique and unmistakable "Only in New York" vibes.
