Tari Wariebi is a graduate of Syracuse University where he was a McNair Scholar and found his passion for filmmaking. Since university, Tari’s work as a Director, Writer, and Producer has been tremendously performative on various media platforms, such as VEVO, Vice and Vogue. Additional writing and directing credits include TV One, BET Centric, and Def Jam. 

 

As an award-winning filmmaker, Tari’s work has screened over 30 festivals. As a Writer, Tari was a quarterfinalist at the Slamdance Screenplay Competition, a WeScreenplay semi-finalist, and a quarterfinalist at Screencraft Film Fund. A Directing Fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory, Tari is preparing to direct his thesis film, WE WERE MEANT TO. Out now is the first season of a new health and wellness series he directed for Youtube starring artist Common called COM + WELL.
