Raised in Germany with Puerto-Rican and Greek roots, Katharina has lived around the world, spoken on the floor of the United Nations and worked as an Assistant Director on major Hollywood pictures before moving into directing herself.

An inherent passion for storytelling and creative thinking paved her way to the film industry in 2010, where she began in production. First working with Wes Anderson as an Assistant Director on THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL, she later relocated to London where she continued working at Warner Bros. on major motion pictures FANTASTIC  BEASTS and WHERE TO FIND THEM— eventually taking over as the Director’s Assistant.

Heavily involved in the pre- and post-production process, it was in these roles that she gained her comprehensive experience in filmmaking. After a decade of on set experience, heavily influenced by the escapism of cinema and a lifelong desire to reinterpret reality, her films aim to change the narrative on an off screen by spotlighting underrepresented and unconventional stories through emotional and captivating visuals that stick with you like a memory.
